Home > Corporate & social responsibility > John Laing’s Christmas donation John Laing’s Christmas donationFor the third year running John Laing has held a competition for staff to nominate a charity to receive a donation of £5,000 from the John Laing Charitable Trust. This is in place of the Group sending Christmas cards in December.
The rules were simple; the charitable cause had to be one the member of staff was involved with and cared passionately about and where a donation of £5,000 would make a huge difference. Many worthwhile charities were nominated and the judges had a difficult decision to make. The nominations were judged anonymously and we are very proud to announce this year’s winner is Read International, nominated by Alex Allan who is based in Allington House. This cause is very dear to Alex as the charity was created by his friend Robert Wilson in 2003.
